Highly recommended! Set an appointment today. Registration process is very quick because they told me to fill out the paperworks online before coming to the clinic. Done panoramic x-ray asap. Immediately seated inside the clinic/dental chair and seen by Dr. Thurber. We’ve decided for tooth extraction. Dr. Thurber is very professional. Done my tooth extraction very fast. Maybe only around 5 minutes. I had a great experience. Thank you so much too to the very accommodating and professional staffs.

Dr. Thurber is the absolute best in the area. I lost my top front teeth in an accident in my teens and wore various bridges for 40 years. When it was finally time to pull the last of the teeth left (gum infection, etc) I asked everyone I knew in the health field who they liked, and even asked online. Dr. Thurber kept coming up at the top of recommendations. The extraction process went well, and when I got my temporary upper dentures he relined them for me every month, more if I had any discomfort. The office staff were kind, considerate, and I came to view them as my friends. After 6 months I got my final upper denture, and it fits like a dream. No pain, and I don't need to use any adhesives. The color is perfect. I feel so badly for people I meet with badly fitting painful dentures, whose dentist never did the recommended monthly relines. He is conscientious, great with making you look as natural as possible, and kind. I can't recommend this place enough!

Dr. Thurber is amazing along with his staff . After getting butchered by another dentist and two weeks of serious pain , he was able to pull my two teeth . He did this very quickly and efficiently. I will be a loyal patient to this practice from now on .

Moved to Lubbock from a big city and had trouble finding dentists with my new dental plan. I called Dr Thurber and his office was able to schedule me in right away. My benefits were explained to my satisfaction and services were rendered without a hitch. The staff is friendly and courteous and respectful. This office deserves OMG, the staff couldn't be more fantastic, kind, caring, compassionate. Bed side manner is brilliant, I'm nobody special so one can only assume they treat all their patients so wonderfully. Dr.Thurber, absolute top notch, couldn't of been better, I'd refer everyone I knew to thus practice, not just "Best of the West" best in the state...I cannot rave enough...perfection complete!

Who knows what evil lurks on my teeth? Dr. Thurber knows. Dr. Thurber oversees a great team: everyone in the office was courteous, friendly, and very professional. The technician who worked on my teeth was probably one of the best I have ever had. She observed that my blood pressure was high, and I told her that it was because I was nervous. But I did not tell her was that I was nervous that she would discover how bad I am at flossing. Like Sherlock Holmes, her first question upon looking in my mouth was, "Do you floss regularly?" I immediately broke down and confessed. "Yes, for the past week, after I found out I was scheduled for an appointment." Apparently, I would make a terrible criminal mastermind, and I need to floss better.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!! Absolutely love this place!!! Went for my first visit today and let me just say, everyone - and I mean everyone, is so friendly there!!!!! They have the best customer service I’ve ever seen within a dentist office!!! So very informative, and you can tell they actually care - for you, your pocket, and your teeth!!! I needed a tooth extracted and first of all, IT WAS LITERALLY PAINLESS - even after!!! Secondly, they made me feel SO very comfortable. Which is a huge plus for me. I’m a very big introvert and going to the dentist is so “exposing/embarrassing” for me. (Considering I know my teeth aren’t the best.) The level of comfort I felt from the moment I walked in the door, and out was everything I needed to want to return. Thirdly, they are so reasonably priced!!!!! Dr. Thurber is hands down amazing. I will be continuing my patient care here from now on.

I'd not been to a Dentist in a very long time, unfortunately, due to financial difficulties. Had heard a great number of things about Dr. Thurber, his wonderful technicians & staff, how professional & thorough they were. I finally found that I could afford a visit and eventually made my way to the office. Greeted promptly and most kindly upon entering, barely a wait to speak of. Technology has surely evolved.. As my mouth was "scanned" and a diagnosis, quick; needed extreme cleaning (no surprise), a couple of cavities and two chipped incisors, that I was so self-conscious of that, I never smiled openly. I knew it would not be inexpensive to deal with these myriad issues.. BUT, the great way of this Office.. They are extremely flexible on payment; plans can be drawn depending on an individual and personalized basis.. They will work with you! As all procedures were done, I could not have been more surprised or pleased with the results; Dr. Thurber is the "Michelangelo" of re-sculpting/reconstructing teeth, I even told him so! I can actually smile with great confidence, again! More than anything, I appreciate the dedication to the health of as well as raising the awareness and importance of dental health education to the patient, that is given. Dr. Thurber, his impeccable technicians & staff are just THE BEST!!

September 14, 2017 Dentist James L. Thurber must be your dentist!! Here's my experience. I was looking for a new dentist and my Insurance Company gave me Dr. Thurber's name so I googled him. Everything I read about he and his staff was very explainable and thorough. I called the office to schedule as a New Patient and was greeted by a very professional and friendly lady. She was warm and friendly, and asked me to fill out the Patient Information online explaining, that way it would be quicker at check-in. This is very helpful to them and me so you don't have to sit in the office filling out paperwork. It's already done...online. When I came in for my appointment, I was greeted by a smiling receptionist who called me by name and had my paperwork in hand ready for me to sign. Shortly they escorted me for X-rays, then seated me for the dental cleaning. She was extremely pleasant and very kind. Everyone was concerned and respectful of their patients and had our comfort in mind. I AM SO THANKFUL THEY ACCEPTED ME AS THEIR NEW PATIENT! I FEEL HONORED. THANK YOU DR. JAMES THURBER AND YOUR WONDERFUL STAFF!!

Great customer service, staff and dentist. I've been twice in the last few months. The first time was to set up as a new patient and for my annual cleaning. There was no hassle getting an appointment and a very short wait the day of. Dr. Thurber was the one who actually did my cleaning so that was nice. The 2nd time around was an emergency in my mind. They were able to get me in same day and had me out the door and back to work in about 45 minutes. The only issue I had was my insurance not being processed before they billed me. Not a big deal. Gave them a call and they had it resolved immediately. I have referred all my family and friends to this office.

My husband had 10 very bad teeth that needed extracted to get dentures. Due to having a heart condition the only option for anesthesia was a local. Dr. Thurber planned to extract upper and lower teeth but the lower part of my husband's mouth would not deaden enough so it took two days. Dr. Thurber and his staff has been very caring and patient to help my husband heal and get adjusted to his dentures. Now remember, my husband is a typical male when it comes to pain and wanting sympathy, so they are very patient with their patient. My husband was most impressed that morning prayers are led by Dr. Thurber and said with staff. Also there is no long waits and the office calls one full day before your appointment to remind you. Awesome just awesome experience with this dentist and his office.

I've never been the one who loves the dentist... But now that I am a patient of Dr. Thurber I honestly don't mind going to get the work done that I need. From the moment you walk into the office the staff is super friendly and on top of their game. You never have to wait long in the waiting room to be seen. The office is very clean, calm, peaceful and quiet. While waiting for the doctor to come see you, you are treated like royalty from start to finish. Dr. Thurber is so sweet and caring and of course very good at what he does. I would recommend him to everyone in town!!!!!
